I got someone to go to JD Byrider, I am suppose to get 200.00 after their 2nd payment. It's been 2 weeks and still nothing. We have contacted them 6 times and they always say they will look into it. They still have yet to deliver, but if I'm 1 day late on my car payment I get a letter in the mail dated the day after my payment was due threatening repo. Pretty crappy. I will never refer anyone and will never go there again.

Bought a Jeep Liberty from them in Springfield MO that night. Noticed smell of antifreeze. It never showed heating up by dash indicators but it went away. First time filled up, checked fluids, found radiator empty and signs water in oil. Went back to dealer and they said it had clogged PVC and all vehicles have moisture build up in crankcase. Next fill up, noticed oil was not showing on dipstick, started really looking car over. Noticed passenger side doors showed signs of being replaced. Checked CarFax, it had 37 hits. Confronted dealer about it, they insisted it was wrong. Told them about oil problem, they said there was oil leak and they fixed it. Complained about water problem again, they said same thing. I thought well by contract they have to fix it if blows. Well less than a week later had to have towed in at my expense, blown heads. They said they don't give loaners while repairs were made.

Threw a fit in showroom while they had two possible buyers there, they said they would replace motor and give me a loaner. Before next payment came due had to have it towed in for repairs. Had been telling them u-joints were bad. They told me it was tires. I told them I had been a mechanic in the Marine Corps and had more the 30 years experience and they acted a little different. Took their mechanic for ride to show him problem. I ask him how much experience he had and if had ever owned a four wheel drive. He just finished a tech school and never owned a 4x4. They pulled drive shaft and replaced u-joint and told me I was right. Then took payments off my card for insurance and payments without being authorized and told not to. Finally after 8 months of having to have repairs made and arguments about card withdrawals, I had to have it towed home again. Canceling debt card so they couldn't make anymore withdrawals, I called.

Told them it was setting in my driveway with starter out, they came got it. When they fixed it they called and wanted me to come get it, I told them keep it. Dealership called hassling me then finance company called, I explained problems with them and was ask if dealership offer a different vehicle to solve issues, I said no. Then the finance company said they would accept payments made, mark contract paid, and have dealer eat vehicle. I felt good that finance company sided with me, but I still was out payments and down on a piece of crap. I advice no deal with this car dealer.

Visited the Longview location today for the second time. The first visit pretty much established that something would be worked out that I could get a car. However, when filling out the application many finances that I do not pay were added to the application. This caused my application to show I could not afford a car. So now I am in a situation where I will not have a car due to me putting my full trust in J.D. Byrider and them keeping their word. I do not pay any rent and 300 was added to the application due to I might move in three years. However, within the next two years I will have a teaching degree and be teaching with a better paying job. 125 dollars was added for gas yet I only pay 60 a month for gas and most of the time it isn't even that much. You guys are very crooked and I will never suggest that you guys be trusted again.

First, they give you high hopes stating give what you have and you can ride. Guess what the down payment is ridiculous 1700. That you have too pay 200+ every two weeks until your down payment is complete. But guess what their unprofessional butts didn't get me a tag. I couldn't drive for four days paying others to take me everywhere. I had to pay over $100 to get my tag. Then Paul with his smart brain call me in says if I don't pay the remainder $100 today bring the car back!!! That's not what I was told previously, now all of a sudden there's another Paul I must've spoken too!!! My opinion they are a rip off. Plus during the purchase the sales rep was fighting with her boyfriend on the phone and walking outside to argue. I feel they are trashy and a scam! What goes around comes around!!! My car is not worth it and they will get it back the same when I'm ready to give that piece of crap back!

I purchased a vehicle from J.D. Byrider/CNAC. The initial deposit was deferred due to my daily transaction limit with my bank being reached. The payment was scheduled to come out the following business day. There was a $500 down payment. The reps at the dealership initially swiped my card multiple times which put an authorization hold on $1,000 for the transaction attempts. My deferred payment was not honored due to the authorization hold which remained for ten (10) days. Upon this decline CNAC contacted me. I researched it with my bank and learned of the hold. I informed CNAC that their first transaction on the day of purchase has restricted funds in my account. They recovered the vehicle. Upon them receiving documents showing the hold and how it was initiated they gave the vehicle back.

Before the hold was able to be released there was transactions with approximately 10 other merchants and service providers. This caused nsf fees from each merchant and the bank which totaled around $620. I informed CNAC of these fees and my intention to settle them immediately and that doing so would result in a partial payment (of $160) for my 10/09/15 payment. I made CNAC aware that I would be paying the remainder upon my being paid and the receipt of my new bank card. The issuing of my bank card was delayed by a week due to bank error. Once this was fixed and the card was received there was an issue with the pin (it was to stay the same; however it was changed). Bank of America informed me they'd need to issue a new pin.

I expressed the fact that this was an inconvenience. Giving my car payment was overdue because of these continued delays. The bank rep offered to call CNAC to inform them of the continued issue and to inform them that it was no fault of my own. Once CNAC received this information the CNAC rep suggested that I borrow the funds. I let him know it was not possible since my family felt that CNAC should've paid the fees which resulted from its transaction attempt. Consequences - car repo, $620 in return check fees, lost of job, ruined credit and a heck of a headache.

Bought my 2006 pt cruiser Sep 2014. Two months into it shift cable snaps leaving my car stuck in reverse in work parking lot. Strike one. Few months later car dies in middle of major intersection very dangerous road bc ignition switch goes. Strike 2. Two weeks ago fuel pump goes out. I replace myself bc they want my car for 2 weeks. Strike 3. Two days ago driver window motor goes out. I live in Ohio. It's raining. Three days later (today) take in for repair and on the way there transmission is slipping to point were car will not drive over 20 miles a hour. Last straw. Relay to manager that I will not be taking the car back. They either replace it or rip up contract. Working with manager all day. Was told to call back at 6 pm to speak with manager for resolution and guess what... She left for the day.

So now as a single mother of 2 kids and work full time I have no car! What am I paying $400 a month for. So finished with this company. The workers are awful. The finance company are awful. Worst company ever. Contacting a lawyer and will get out of this contract. They can keep the damn car. They are a bunch of crooks.

I'm so upset with the location in Berwyn, Illinois. They sold me a bogus truck. I tried to return it back to them three days after having it and they wouldn't accept it. I know I have at least seven to thirty days to return a vehicle. The general manager wouldn't accept it back saying that I signed a contract, yes I did but, however I was still in time frame to return it because I was trying to return it three days after the purchase. I haven't even had the truck a month and here's what's wrong with it. By the way I purchased the car September 26, 2015.

I am a single mother with two children and not the greatest credit. I went to JD Byrider to get a car and besides the salesperson who sat with me to choose a car the whole experience has been horrible. They make mistakes with your payment processing and first thing they do is leave threatening messages on your voicemail that you have to return your car. They say they can't make changes to the contract but they can and they will do anything to sell a car, even if they know everything is not correct. I have made all my payments, I had a family emergency and had to make my payment three days later and two different agents called me threatening that I better make the payment now.

I understand you have to make your payments but there are such things are unexpected exigent circumstances that there should be some form of consideration for. No one wants to be dealing with an ill family member and getting harassing calls about a situation you have already explained. They have certain agents who bully you and speak really aggressively to you in order to intimidate you, it's a horrible experience. Since June I have made every payment, even the insurance. If I had to do it again I would never have gotten a car from this company. I am looking for assistance now to see what I can do to get out of this bogus contract and situation.

I bought a Mercury Sable 2 years ago. I've had nothing but problems repeating over and over. Like dying and after an hour it starts. I've used up my towing on my insurance twice. They said they're putting a battery in twice and charged me against my payment while made me past due without any explanation or reason until I figured it out. New transmission and my local inspection shop said it has the original factory trans in it. The idle goes up and down, I have to stand on the brakes to stop then it goes away.

I tried to trade it. Besides being upside down over 3500.00 as soon as they find out it's a Byrider car they don't want it period, no matter what kind of financing I get approved for. I'm giving it back next week. Not my first time I've done it. Cars and credit in Butler isn't any different!! I gave them one back about 8 years ago. Slept well afterwards. The car JD Byrider sold me may have been taken back a few times!!! I've heard they do that!!! What scum goes for cars and credit as well!!!

I purchased a car from JD Byrider in Columbus Ohio in August of 2012. I got a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier, loved the car, still love it. The salesman that helped me, Romeo I believe, was super friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. I wasn't able to get my car the day I went in, but he stayed in contact and kept me updated the entire month it took to get my things in order.

I had terrible credit at the time, and no money to put down. They offered me the car, with a super high interest rate, deferred down payment, and a whopping 6 grand to finance me. At the time, I didn't have any other choice, I needed something right then to get back and forth from work and school, so I accepted and within 10 minutes of me signing the contract, they informed me there was an issue with the ignition and that they had to keep the car for "an hour or so" to fix it. 6 hours later, I was able to drive home in the car.

About 3 days after taking my cavalier, the AC stopped working... during the hottest month of the summer, and of course, it wasn't covered under my warranty. Although I haven't had hardly any mechanical issues with my car, I had a short in some computer chip somewhere... $350.00 to repair plus towing costs, because of course the warranty didn't cover that issue either. The car was outrageously priced, but, with all things considered, they helped me when I needed it. My credit score is significantly higher than it was before, allowing me to have a chance of buying a fair priced car somewhere else.

I have read a lot of complaints about what happens after people are late on a payment. I had a problem 1 time with my direct deposit from work not coming through and having to wait on a live check instead. I immediately called and informed CNAC of my situation and that I wouldn't be able to make the payment until the following Monday. The woman I spoke with that day allowed me to do a check over the phone, which wouldn't process until after my pay check cleared. I understand that people hit financial difficulties, but CNAC is pretty upfront about their policies... if the payment isn't on time, the car could get repo-ed. It isn't a secret, and if you can't guarantee an on time payment every month, maybe you shouldn't agree to those terms, just my opinion.

The phone calls and emails on your due date are super annoying though, they hardly give you a chance to call them before they start blowing your phone up. I spoke with my account rep and told him that since I work 3rd shift, my payments wouldn't be made until later in the evening and I didn't need a courtesy call before 5pm. Although, the calls never stopped, they at least waited until that time to start calling. Now, I get a text reminder on my due date and can make my car payments through text without having to actually talk to anyone unless I don't pay it.

All in all I think that JD Byrider is kind of a rip off. They sell cars that aren't worth much and ridiculously overprice them. Personally though, for what I needed at the time, they were pretty good and my experience hasn't been bad at all dealing with the actual company. I will miss the $5.00 oil changes from Jiffy Lube though, I think that was the best part of the whole deal with CNAC!

If I had to do it all over again I would rather be without a car rather than deal with J.D. Byrider! I've had my car for 7 months and it's tore up every other week! Then they keep it for days without a loaner! And they will never negotiate a payment! Even if you are $5 short they threaten you with repossession! VERY BAD PLACE TO DO BUSINESS!!!

I just put a down payment on a Nissan Sentra 07. People say it was the best car they had out there. I was in a wreck. I went up there as usual to pay my car note 195 every two weeks and they refused to take payment cause I missed a payment on my insurance. I didn't have the money for both right then. They threatening to take my car. Then after they refuse to take payments I put car in body shop so my insurance fixed the wreck for when it did happen and was active.

As soon as I get the car out the shop someone pulls up in a black truck & practically steals the car from in front of my house. All my belongings in the vehicle. I'm guessing that's how they repo their car instead of tow truck. They didn't even get the keys from me, just jumped in and drove off! I had just got out the car not even 5 mins and the car was gone. The doors was lock. They the only ones with the spare key! I just feel as that's very very unprofessional. I even called the police cause I thought someone stole my car!

My husband and I decided to go to J.D. Byrider for a car because we really needed one. We responded to a tv ad which advertised 199 down. I spoke with a salesperson and asked him repeatedly if this was true and he told me yes. I asked him if this applied to certain vehicles and he stated it was for ANY car on the lot. Now I know I'm not crazy because there is a difference between ANY and CERTAIN right? Apparently I was crazy because when we got there he said it was for certain cars. Like level one cars and needless to say they looked raggy. Lies and a waste of time. I'm glad we walked away and they still are calling, because after reading these reviews and our experience, I can tell you the phone will ring off the hook. I want nothing to do with these people. EVER.

I ended up getting a 2005 Grand Am from JD Byrider August of 2015. When I went to pick the car up, I noticed that the front passenger tire was low. I get home and fill it back up. Two days later I have to fill it up again. I contacted the dealership about the problem and was told they couldn't get me in for a whole week so I'd have to keep filling it with air every two days. Finally I get in and there is a huge nail in my tire that was picked up at the dealership... lovely. No charge for plugging the hole. Now I get to dick around with the insurance and the car payments.

Insurance... where to start - got the $78 through the dealership until I got my own through Progressive. Send the policy over right away and was told it would be taken care of. Yeah that didn't happen apparently. So the money on my card for my car payment was short because they pulling insurance that should have been canceled at the beginning of September when the policy was made... full coverage btw.

So now the car payment is short because of it, and now I'm being demanded to make my car payment right this second. Their problem for pulling it, now I have to wait until payday (Friday) to go to the dealership and make the payment they failed to fix. When they pull money off the card, get the mistake fixed... it's a given it will take a few days for that money to go back onto the card... duh!!! So phone calls everyday since the 2nd have been driving me insane. Had this been taken care of like I told it was going to be, there wouldn't be a problem. Damn ripoff.

Purchased for my daughter since she needed transportation. This vehicle broke down so many times that I finally gave up on the repairs which have cost almost as much as the vehicle. The car has now been broken down in her driveway for over a year now as I can't afford to keep fixing it and neither can she. She finally took out a loan for another vehicle somewhere else and has been very happy with it. In the meantime I am counting down the payments so I can scrap this pile of junk that I am paying over $300 a month for! RIPOFF. They take full advantage of people who are in financial difficulty and then using their services only makes the problems worse.

My husband and I went to JD Byrider in Mount Pleasant Wisconsin. We also told them that we had bad credit and was looking for a car and was hoping they could help us. They decided to help us with $1,000 down and also with bad credit. Which I thought was awesome at that time. So my husband and I had 500 and had to scrape up the other 500. The salesman told us if we come up with $1,000 down he would check into giving us a 2009 Suzuki XL 7. So we managed to scrape up the rest of the thousand dollars and called him the next day. We inform him we were on our way with the money so we can purchase the Suzuki XL 7. So he informed us the car was still there, to come on in and we can get the car.

We drove 45 minutes to the dealer got to the dealer and someone else was test driving the car. We walked in the dealer and sat at his desk and he informed us that one of the other dealers had sold the truck before we got there. I informed him it was just an hour ago that we called him and told him we were on our way. He apologized and said he was upset about it and offered the van, which I said I didn't want a van in the beginning. My husband and I walked out very disappointed and will never ever go back to JD Byrider. On top of it all the person that they sold the car to was a friend or relative of one of the workers. If they didn't want to help us with bad credit then they should have turned it down instead of leading us on. Horrible customer service and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there!

C.N.A.C/J.D. Byrider tried to sell me a license plate after I already transferred my old plate. Then tried to refuse my on time car payment in order to repo my car. I then spoke to a person at the dealership that told me the people I'm dealing with at CNAC are people with little to no education on a second chance job opportunity given by the state to ex-cons.

I recently purchased a 2006 Kia Spectra two weeks ago 09/18/2015. I was very satisfied with purchase and the car, until I received a letter in mail stating I had to make a payment of $250.00 within a week of purchase. I called one of the Finance Managers that I have the car loan with (CNAC) and she stated that I had to make additional payments of 4 installments of $250.00 (which was not explained clearly during sale).

When I went there initially with my aunt the sales guy told me all I needed down was $300.00. Little did I know is what they do is add in $1000 to your contract/loan along with your down payment the customer being responsible to pay $1000 back. I was livid when finding this out and when I tried talking to Manager and other Finance manager they weren't so nice about the whole situation.

Its seems everyone was pleasant and nice when I was purchasing car but once they found out I wasn't happy as a customer it didn't matter. Not only did I have to pay by due date if I didn't they were going to repo my car that evening by 7 pm allowing NO grace period. And I told them I wanted to return car requesting a refund. The Finance Manager tells me in my contract that I'm not able to get my refund once I took car off the lot. So I now have to pay three more installments of $250 plus my first car note is due Nov. 20th. I really needed a car because I had NO transportation but if I knew what I know now I definitely would of have took my time and waited to purchase a car. I definitely will NOT be referring anyone of my family members like I intended on to this dealership.

JD Byrider has been a financial nightmare for almost two years now. I am a single parent with two college age children and went to JD Byrider looking for a starter car for my daughter who was entering her sophomore year of college to help her establish credit of her own. We got her a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser which we were told was in good condition for her college commuting. To say the least, two years later we have invested over $3000 in repairs and the car is still not working. JD Byrider does not accept calls but they get their money. At this point I am over them and trying to get rid of this piece of junk they sold me. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THEM. They are crooks!!!

I purchased my minivan back in DEC. of 2012. I have never been late with making a payment of $388.00. I have had nothing but bad experience with the repair shop. I purchased an extended warranty thinking I was protecting myself. Unfortunately my warranty does not cover any of the maintenance that needed repaired on my vehicle. So far in just the past 3 months my vehicle has been towed to their shop three times for an AC compressor. It's still now in the shop. It's been there for a week and now they are replacing the AC compressor FOR THE FOURTH TIME!!! I've had to pay for all towing expenses and now they will not release my vehicle without charging me for more parts and labor. I've been without my van more than I've had it. This year alone it's been in the shop 8 times - 4 in the past 2 months. The same part keeps on needing to be replaced - the AC compressor which is not covered under warranty.

Each time they have my vehicle for about a week, and I get charged for labor. My extended warranty expires in December of 2015 and my car payments loan will not be paid off until February of 2017. I know my vehicle is not going to last the life of the loan. I'm going to get stuck paying on a vehicle that does not even work. I have told the service department that I do not feel safe in the vehicle. I'm deathly afraid to drive my vehicle. I asked them to please put me into a different car with no success. I've also contacted the main office to file a complaint but still, no one has yet to contact me back. I am a single mother of three and disabled. I need a safe and reliable vehicle.

Sept Sunday evening car will not start. I bought a battery around Easter for this car and I'm still having problems. I have other issues with the vehicle. I bought two brand new tires, new lights and cars must be out of lineman in the seat. Won't work on the drivers side. It's dangerous to my health. From an another dealership I had to get a key fixed. When the guy move the seat back it's not working, do not know why so I had to call 3 AA from Me and take $500, then starting in November I pay $389 a month until this year. Now I'm having problems with the vehicle. Not happy and divided into two I had to pay $500. Unhappy customer.

I purchased this vehicle in March 2015. I have countless problems with my payment date and arrangements. I put down 1500 on a 2006 Malibu with payments of 200 dollars bi-weekly. My check engine light is on. Now it's been on for a while. I have not had any major issues but I simply thought this was a company that helps not hurt. They only make matters worst. If you're a day late they're already calling for repossession. I hate that I ever signed this contract and I will be looking into trying to get out of it. It's like they try to get as much money out of you as possible before your contract is up. I just want out. They make their own rules and can change them at anytime. If you pay 200 next week they want three hundred. It's just all a scam!

I said yes but I was a little annoyed they didn't post prices. The guy pretty much said who am I to worry about prices. They go by your income and "put" you in a car that "fits" you. So I said ok I'd call them. Then I found this site and all these horrible stories. I thank god I know better now. These people are low criminals and my heart goes out to all you people who were trapped by these spiders. I don't understand why they're allowed to keep operating. Criminals. I purchased a 2003 Nissan Murano on 5/20/2015. 1 month later in the shop. 1 month later in the shop again. So basically I have had this vehicle for 3 1/2 months and have had nothing but problems. As I type this it is in the shop. Vehicle left my wife and daughter stranded on the side of the road. They offer a 2yr/24,000 mile warranty but it seems they will only honor it if it is a quick and inexpensive fix. My vehicle is having transmission issues and at best that's about $3000. They claim the vehicles are inspected and serviced before they hit the lot for sale. **.

I understand that this is second chance financing for people with credit issues and I do expect to pay more for the vehicle because of that. But us consumers deserve a working vehicle regardless, especially if you offer a warranty. I purchased a 2002 Dodge Durango in 2008 from a similar type dealership and I just sold it in 2014 because it really started giving me problems. That was 6 years of reliability and I drove it from Virginia to Texas with no problems and the truck was paid off in 2011. So in my opinion, J. D. Byrider have second rate mechanics on payroll that know basic repairs and nothing more.

They even had the nerve to tell my wife to take the vehicle somewhere and have someone look at it and then let them know what was found. WTF. But all your mechanics are supposed to be ASE certified whatever. I hope they can repair it but if not, and I am already upside down on this damn thing, so I might have to bite the bullet and trade it for something more reliable. WARNING. STAY AWAY FROM J.D. BYRIDER. If you don't, it will be the biggest mistake of your life.

I bought a car from this company because I needed a car. They asked for 300.00 down, ended up paying 1500.00 down through payments taken out of my account. My car is worth 2000.00 blue book value which I found out after I bought the car. I sucked it up and was still willing to pay since it was my own mistake not looking that up before buying the car. Had the car one week and the check engine light was on and the driver side window was stuck down. Took it in, said they fixed it. 5 days later, happened again. Back to the shop. 2 weeks later, back again. I think you get the picture.

Now though is the final straw. I'm at work, go to start the car and surprise, car will not even start. I called 5 times, no one would help and said manager would call me. Still hasn't 2 days later. I cannot afford to have it towed because they just took out another 240.00 for a bi-weekly payment. I will not continue to pay for something that doesn't even work. I have contacted a lawyer to get out of the contract and will not pay them another dime. I have already contacted another reputable dealership to get a better car. I think it is wrong for a company to do this to people. I'm sad, hurt and disappointed that this can go on legally.

Went to JD Byrider a year ago and got a Chevy Cobalt. The process was easy and my salesperson was very friendly. I forgot her name lol but the greatest part of my experience is Michael with CNAC. I've read plenty of reviews saying that they don't work with you when you're in a time of need but that is so untrue in my case. I should say I fell on hard times and my illness reoccurred and Michael and Ms. Kathy really is my saving grace! My car runs excellent and I haven't had any mechanical problems with it beside your normal oil change & brakes. I would recommend anybody go to JD Byrider if you have bad credit and not even bad credit good credit also. If you really want to work with people that's in the business of helping people and not get over on people.

I bought a 2007 Dodge Caliber from these people in March of 2014. And it's the worst mistake I ever made. Every time I turn around I'm taking it back and forth for something or another to be fixed. In trying to trade the vehicle in I found out that the stuff that was supposed to be fixed never was. I figured all they do is piece it together to make you think it's fixed until the warranty runs out - which isn't too much longer for me. Now I'm stuck with a piece of junk that I still have to pay for over the next years. Stay far far away from these people! I wish I could sue but I signed the contract, so I suppose it's my problem.

The harassment is out of control. They call me, wife day and night and I told them to stop but they won't and I'm dangerously pissed off. I hate. I even financed a car with them. I'm ready to boycott them ASAP! And return this car and sue them. Bastards.

I've had my car since March 13th of this year. I'm a 19 year old girl with tons of mechanics in my family. I bought a 2007 PT Cruiser from J.D. Byrider in Greenwood and I've never had any problems with it. It's a good running car. When I first heard about the dealership, I was excited because I'm young, with no credit, and I wasn't required to put anything down on my vehicle purchase. I got my car and yes, my total purchase will be $16,000, but no other dealership works with you like they do. I've been paying my car payments on time every two weeks and I've never had a problem with the company or my car. I take it for 3,000 mile oil changes when they're due and go from there. I love my vehicle. Thank you J.D. Byrider.
