Hey. Whats up guys diamond gamerpro here today and welcome back to another video video in todays video. Im going to be showing you all how to and play ds roms on your 3ds or 2ds this works for the new and old models and im going to show you all how to do it in todays video.
What youre going to need for this is a modded 3ds or 2ds and a computer. So that you can drag and drop. Whatever files are necessary so ive already put my sd card into my computer and lets jump right into it all right so the first thing you guys are going to need to do is head to the link in the description below itll bring you to this website.

What were going to be using to play ds games on our nintendo 3ds or 2ds so all you need to do is just scroll down and find the latest7zip of the game so not the game well the program. It also works as a game just simply find the latest 7 zip and download it i already have it downloaded and opened right here and it looks just like this so. What youre going to want to also do is have your sd card opened up like this i have my sd card right here this is for my nintendo 3ds and what youre going to want to start by doing is copying the underscore nds folder.
And simply just pasting it into the sd card. This should happen relatively quickly its theres a lot of files. But its not that big and once thats done i can move on to the next folder.
Because were gonna have to be drag and dropping a few things from here so its going to load in its about maybe 56 megabytes or so from what i saw there and then we can continue from there so as this goes on we can also no nevermind. Were gonna have to wait for the copying and pasting over this doesnt take too long about a minute left in this all right. I skipped ahead to whens just about done because i didnt think you guys would want to sit through um.
It was about a minute and a half total so there we go we now have that there so now we go to the dsi and 3ds sd card users and we can simply just copy the bootnds and thatll just go to the root of your sd card. Just like that then you need to go back here and go to the 3ds cfw users and simply just copy everything here you dont need to copy the game. Supported with widescreen just simply copy these three items.
Oh. Sorry youre not gonna need that top folder. Just simply copy.
These three items. And this is going to take a little bit of time much less than the original time because this is just a lot of files with a very small amount of file size total less than one whole megabyte and once youre done that you guys can see i already have the roms folder on my 3ds sd card youre going to want to create a roms folder and put whatever ds roms youd like onto there. And im just going to quickly show you guys what that looks like for me so there we go thats all here now were gonna go to the roms and as you guys can see in ds.
I have mario and luigi browsers story along with a save file you dont need the save file. It will auto create if you already if you dont already have one so once its done you guys can put your sd card back into your nintendo 3ds and i will show you what to do from there all right now that ive got my 3ds with the sd card back in what you guys are going to want to do is open up fbi. If you have a hacked 3ds.
Which you need for this tutorial. You should already have this installed. So im just going to open up fbi this takes a quick second and then we can get right into it.
So simply go to the sd and then go to the cias folder or if in my case. I have the ones right on my route so youre gonna just install twilight menu. Im doing install and delete cia press yes and give it a second to install and once its done youre going to need to install the other one as well because this is what allows you to boot games.
So simply just install and delete the cia and there we go once its done i can simply press start to exit and now that i go back to my home menu. You will see that new software should be added to your home menu. It might take a second.
But it should appear there not too long after sometimes it actually requires a restart of your ds. So if you dont see anything i suggest powering it off and powering it back on and trying again. And im going to do just that and ill cut to when its on my home screen all right so ive just restarted my 3ds and now you guys can see new software has been added to the home menu so if we just go and unwrap this you will actually see that it is twilight menu.
Im going to not lock my camera down and there you go twilight menu. So im just going to go boot up twilight menu. Now and i can show you guys what it looks like for setup and first use so when you first boot.
It up you are going to see a cut scene. One that looks pretty similar to this i mean im getting a white screen right now. But this is simply because its the first boot.
So it has to do a lot of configuration. So ill just let this load. And ill bring it back to the camera.
Once we get to the cut scene. There we go we have nintendo dsi because its mimicking what a dsi would be like so were just going to touch the touch screen. And theres this actually pretty cool cut scene which i like here which shows twilight menu plus plus made by rocket rob so thanks to rocket robs for developing the software.
Its really great and its really cool that we can use it so now that were here it should show you your file directories. Im just going to scroll down to my roms and then go to ds and you guys will see mario luigi bowsers inside story is here so we can simply just boot. This up and you will see that with not too much time.
It will actually create the ram dump file. And then it will be able to create the save file. If you dont have one already and it will boot your game perfectly and since the nintendo 3ds can already play ds games.
There is no lag no issues it is using the ds processor. Within the 3ds. So that you can play these games.
Perfectly. So. Im once again just going to cut to when the game is fully loaded.
And ill show you what it looks like then so i got it right here. And id like to just point out just to make to point out to all of you for creating the ram dump it can actually sometimes take a little bit of time for me. It took over a minute.
So just have some patience with it and dont give up right away. But as you guys can see mario and luigi thousands that story has now booted up and just to show you i do currently have a 3ds cartridge inside of my 3ds. So im not booting off the cartridge.
I am in fact still booting it off of twilight menu. No video cuts or edits here. So i hope you guys did enjoy.
